Goodbye
by Marko
Why must you leave?
Is this my doom, left to grieve?
Our lives were more than real
Or I am being deceived.
What does this mean?
Your mind and heart is far beyond eternity now
Your body laid hard and cold in isolation
Like Eskimo's whiskers in the winter,
But I could see your face as the life abandon there
Tears cold, and shivers, as they stretched themselves
between the quite moments, and my final goodbye.
What does this mean?
My heart fell deep in a pit inside my own body
And the rest of me I am expendable.
I drink of your tears;
it tastes like an ocean overlapping my pitiful cries,
pulling me under with its powerful current,
I am clutching on to straws
for a final moment to weep for you to weep for us,
and just to say one last goodbye.
I have one last breath to take
My weak heart perforated,
pierced with holes,
designed to make tearing or dying easy,
I am dying with you.
I am clutching on to straws to close the final door,
Hope that I did not disappoint you,
our time has lasted to the end.
As you lay there, I watched as a telepathic lover
Reading your mind, and I kissed your lips,
and held your hand because I loved you,
because I will never be with you.
Because you have been the one
You have been the one for me.
THE END
