The rose
by Indiah
What is your secret?
What makes your petals falls
Is it some secret thing, or was it just your call
Is it tears that I see, or is it make believe
Your petals are as soft as feelings,
as a memory I conceived.
Deep in your folds,
I sense a secret your hiding
Is it a lost love, broken hearted,
lost tongue, enduring
there is no joy that I can see
On your stems or on your face
Reminiscing, disillusion,
glorious pain in your bittersweet embrace.
A beautiful, bewildered lonely rose
Tarnish Petals, LONELY thorns the prick of death
Died when she offered her sweet lips to greet his kiss
Captivating, spectacular, crazy dream scene that was
In the kiss of death she was born
Wet eyes like dew, and heart like thorns.
Lost her voice, lost for words lost the bond
Shattered, scattered, not whole, tormented, terrified
Fell off the edge of oblivion
In his light she lost her cares,
fallen for him like she knew she would
Blooming in the moment of his delight
And weaving the dance of her dreams
But when searching for a light in the dark
She was alone, the light was gone, not even a spark
So fragile you are, fell in love oh, dare
For no reason but a sign, full of rays and sunshine
She took a moment to fall in love, a moment to be Gray
Broken hearted, I suppose
This is the reason she is a rose.
