Tender
by Shawn
Whispered kisses on the phone rekindle dormant flames,
the many countless miles between do not exist;
heart skips a beat, at the sound of voice,
both warmed by tender words impossible to resist.
With comfortable abandon, they blend kindred souls,
Touching, though unseen, using only words to express affection;
much of their soul belongs to magic night unfolds,
the long distance connection is really not so long.
Realities are truly redefined only in a touch;
beauty shared as each explores the other's charms,
realizing that indeed a sweet reality of the mind.
minds interpret every word as fingers on skin,
intertwined hearts verbally caressing every secret place;
fantasy fade away, reality begin,
sharing intimate moments across expanse of time and space.
the long distance connection is really not so long.
