she mends me
by Adam
I watched her go beyond the stars
And past the blazing the sun
Dreaming of a world far from here.
she sits among the trees in the hills watching the sun unfolds
Lost in love, and sweet dreams of the love she mould
she wondered in the dark, with eyes so bright she could see
The twinkle in my eyes, and the butterflies in my chest
And I hear her
whispers so loud and clear in my ears
Tearing from my sleep,
Through the tears I see the lonely street
Right outside my window
The window where we said our last goodbye.
I listen to her laughter
Which scorns his hopes and dreams
Echoes of a drowning heart, beating only for me
Fingers clutching at straws, to hold a last breath
While hopes faded on the dark horizon
Her tears flowing streams
Drowning me, taking me under as I swam upstream.
I strived for words to comfort, and revived
But suddenly the echoes from my own body had turned its volume off
Lost in vain I was,
as she left me with nothing but a blank stare
The one I placed in my heart
Take care of it with such care
It is now my turned to sit amongst the tress
There I bring him alive,
Though all the young dies, she lives in my heart
Dances with me in the sunsets
As the music still plays outside my window
And beyond the barrier of pain in my heart
I can still feel his feet moving to the dance
As we dance, as we dance, as we dance.
