Seductive dreams
by Missy
I awoke in the darkness
Moaning low in the back of my throat
And taking deep breaths,
Voluptuous thoughts, of arms, and hips, and dark hair
The stares shimmering in the dark sky
It had happened again the curse of the lonely woman
The seductive dream,
Of a man I had bundled with one night
I had lost him, I thought
And the occurrence of that night
Had repeated it self periodically in my dreams
Laying naked in my bed from the summer's heat
I lay now feeling the sensation ebb from my loins
I could not find it in myself to take up with another man
Because he had made it impossible
for me to imagine how I could have an affair
Of the heart, or even of the loins with any other.
Some day
I will have the luxury of enjoying friends who are of no use to me.
THE END
